Jason is a modern gay gladiator.
In this work, I explored masculine vitality and strength. Bold brushstrokes and vivid colors - icy blues and passionate pinks - build a dynamic, powerful architecture. Muscles are prominent. The pectoral muscles bulge out like a maternal, feminine chest, on which one might come for comfort.
My painting is as political as it is poetic, as intimate as it is universal, as creative as it is deconstructive: the expression of a gay identity in motion, in a desire to repair the traumatized collective imagination.
