In Breton, Tadig means \u201cFather\u201d. This painting begins a series of \u201cfamily portraits\u201d of the chosen gay family, a kind of pictorial House.<\/p>\n

Pinks and blues playfully build shadows, and the canvas reserves offer restful spaces where we can take refuge. Her imposing breasts evoke both hypermasculinity and the mother's breast.<\/p>\n

My painting is as political as it is poetic, as intimate as it is universal, as creative as it is deconstructive: the expression of a gay identity in motion, in a desire to repair the traumatized collective imagination.<\/p>
